Going to pick these up for my new trd pro rims.

Since these are 17" and stock are 16", I was thinking about buying a 5th cheap 17" rim for the spare tire. Will it fit underneath the bed where the spare is now?

Or would it be better to just stick with 16" size?

Was looking at 265/70r17 when I get the 17" wheels. That tire size will fit on the spare as well?

Cool, thanks. Call me stupid, but I always thought rim size had to match the tire size. 16 on 16, 17 on 17 ect...

I kind of feel the same way but I guess I don't have a good reason to not want 17s other than potentially a smaller sidewall and more weight? idk

Hey, I checked your build page but I don't think it lists the new tires yet. Do you run spacers? How far, if at all do you the tires poke out of the wheel wells? I am almost positive I am going to go Ray 10s with those tires

    Thanks

I already had the 17s, and want about go buy new ones haha. I also like the 17s, not optimal for rock crawling, but still works for me
No I'm not running any spacers.. I do have trimmed bushwhackers so its a little hard to for me to tell you how far they would stick out past stock fenders. They do stick out of the bushwackers though, I still have a nice stance with these tires.

I have the 34/10.5/17 with SCS wheels as well. I ended up trimming the corner of the fender flares and doing a cmc. However after getting it properly aligned I was able to get rid of the rubbing and even keep the mud flaps by trimming them.

Was thinking about getting these next as I need new Tires. Do you have stock gears and if so, how does it do?

Yes I do have stock gears. Im coming from 315s before switching to these so Im seeing a power increase. The truck handles very well though I don't think you see too much of a loss, I wouldn't really say regearing is necessary to run this size.

Thanks for the reply. It's either your size or 255/80/17 km2. Having a really hard time trying to make my mind up.

Method Race Wheels, 105 Beadlock, machined, 17x8.5 4.75BS with 34X10.5X17 KO2s (these will rub without lift and UCAs). The lift is SPC LR UCAs with Fatbobsgarage custom Bilstein5100s with #600 springs. Nothing in the back but will be doing shackle flip and a custom spring pack, I think. Still not sure on the back, will let the front settle and install winch, bumper and 3 steel skid plates to see where the truck is at. Yes the front tires rub at stuff, but once we get the alignment dialed in it looks like I will be cutting some plastic and the front of the front fender some. One advantage of using the SPC LR UCAs is moving the upper ball joint forward. I also have two inches more droop with this set up. Was 23 1/2 center of hub to bottom of finder full droop, now it is 25 1/2. Center to hub to bottom of fender is 23" with wait on it. It does have the Bro lean for now but will end up with slight rake forward.

I think I like this setup the most. I really wish they had something like that size in a 16 though. 265/85/16 would be awesome.

Anyone have any idea why the prices went up on tires or if they'll go down?

What would you guys recommend for me?

I got a 4 banger and a 3" lift. I'm on dirt only a few times a month/year. I'm thinking tall skinnies. I don't want to loose too much MPG's or power, in already lacking in power lol.
