They are crap. Putting HIDs in them make their crappy output even crappier, you just get tricked into thinking they are better because of greatly increased foreground lighting.

I have Spec-D headlights in my Mercedes. I got them because they were the only way I could put projectors on, since stock lights do not come in a clear lens option. Before I even installed them I ripped out the halogen projectors and installed Morimoto Mini H1 7.0s. The build quality difference between stock and Morimoto is huge, and the light output vastly superior.

Yup yup. I first had the morimoto XB35 HID kit on my spyder headlights. As @snowbrdd said, the output was shit...damn halogens would blow that set up out of the water. Once I retro'ed with the morimoto projectors it was night and day difference. Now Im the light on the road without blinding peeps!

Proper projectors would make the car much better imo.

Didn't mean to start a :crapstorm:

I went ahead and purchased some black DEPO headlights. I think I'll like the look, and no need for projectors for me...I will probably drive at night about 6-12 times a year.

There is a reason why it turns into one. There are far too many ignorant and stupid drivers who do things to their headlights that is annoying and unsafe for other drivers. Sure, if it is just aesthetics, to each their own, but compromising the safety of others is a whole different ball game.

thats very typical for spyder products
I used to have a set of spyder headlights on my truck and they were so bad. I still can't get over the fact I payed $450 for a literal downgrade
