I live in an apt complex I'm already pushing my luck working on it

The bubble which extends past the rear of the hood was the area I had to remove .I just did a 40deg cut on that part of the scoop so it follows the windshield

 

Finally satisfied with all the measurements , will do the drilling and cutting tomorrow

 

what are you having to cut for?

 

You can see the area needed to be removed and contoured to follow the windshield in this pic

 

Uhhh live in a apt complex , some things u can't do without risking my lease . can't do oil changes either so it's go to jiffy lube

 

All makes sense now. Not to much there. Just keep the saw away from the windshield.

 

is it supposed to be tapered back and touch the windshield? I would think that would vibrate and rattle

 

No not touch. It takes the pressurized air at the bottom of the windshield. You don't even really need it that close.

 

So just cut a couple of inches back and follow the contour of the windshield? Then make a spacer the length you need , hold a marker against it onto the hood and glide along the windshield, follow the line and cut
