    You can do it without taking rhe mount off. The trick is to open the vent baffles so they hold the small oval nut in place while the screw is out. I'll make a video tomorrow.

    This hondo mount is great but instead of using the perfect squeeze I opted to use the Ram Mount Magnet($18.99), 3 inch double socket($8.99), ram mount diamond base ($6.99), and hondo mount ($31.50) so my setup is about $67 vs $139. With this setup my Iphone 6 does not block the air from the vent nor it blocks any of my view while driving, ease of use one hand grab and go with magnet mount makes it so easy to dismount the phone in between traffic lights(I know right guilty). With my wifes iphone 7plus it does sticks up a little over the hood from my driving view but this could be easily fixed by turning the vent and mounting lower. The ram magnet is very strong! Tested it well when I went and watch King of the Hammers and did some off roading and my phone did not budge.

    Say I wanted to use my iPhone 7 plus to record video while driving, would the complete phone setup (perfect squeeze kit) be good enough or would I need some type of extension to raise it higher? I would like to purchase one for sure! I just got my premium AR 15 radio knobs in, can't wait to install!! Thanks

    You might want a longer ram arm. The one we stock is 3.69" but they do make longer ones. The 3.69" version will work but you'll see a bit of the dash in the video.
