Somebody is gonna be investigated by the ATF because that is essentially a monocorde suppressor without a shell, Tig weld some side on it and an end cap and you would have a functioning suppressor.

Can't go wrong with a 10/22 for a truck gun, I suppose. I went old school for mine, lol. Light enough to carry and fast-pointing, with a little bit more oomph.

I've never owned a 10/22 before so figured I'd build one. She's right around 5lbs with scope. I have a real nice 22lr but don't want to bang it up. The 10/22 can get banged up and wouldn't bother me ha.
For a lil more oomph I have this 16" barreled beauty

Yeah, same for me with that Winchester. I bought it for a song, and it's a post-64 so it'll never be a collectible anyway, so I don't care if it gets knocked around under the rear seat.

Anyone have a Marlin 795 22LR? I bought one years ago for dirt cheap and wonder if anyone managed to find or build a longer stock for them. I love that thing for plinking and wouldn't want to replace it unless absolutely necessary. Problem is, I would like to make it a bit more comfortable for me to shoot.

What action and barrel did you build that off? Nosler is certainly good at marketing, they took the wildcat 22x6.8, rebated the rim and called it something new.

I'm a rifle builder at Nosler Inc.
    It's a Nosler Rifle.
There's definitely a little more to it then that.

A little more, but not much. The 22 Nosler would've been better off sticking with the 43mm length or slightly less to allow proper seating of heavier bullets. The decision to rebate the rim doesn't make sense either. Not bad for what it is but it doesnt offer much new other than the support of a large company and SAAMI approval.

Well you obviously have your opinion on the cartridge, along with what I would go with as no experience with the cartridge. Therefore I'll let you keep your thoughts and keep mine to whom is looking for first hand experience.

22 Nosler has zero problems shooting the heavier bullets such as the 70 RDF and the 77CC. Shoot's the said bullets better then the 223/5.56..
22 Nosler was also designed to work with a standard AR bolt. With only needing to swap the barrel and switch to a 6.8SPC mag.
Out of a bolt gun the 22 Nosler out performs the 223/5.56 without thinking twice about it. It's on par with the 22-250 Rem.

But it looks like you have it figured out. If you would like more information on it I'd be happy to help you with your needs or I can direct you to someone that can get you better informed.

No need to sound offended. I have shot both the 22 Nosler and a few .22cal variations using the 6.8 SPC case.

A 45mm case in an AR15 cannot have the longer, heavier bullets seated optimally with the ogive beyond the case mouth. In a bolt action without the 2.3" magazine limitations this wouldn't be an issue. The 22 Nosler shoots heavier bullets better than the 5.56 given it has about 7.5gr more case capacity (mine averaged 37.4gr capacity).

I see no advantage to a 5.56 bolt over a 6.8 bolt. Both are easily available at comparable costs.

The 22 Nosler most certainly outperforms the 5.56, I wouldn't dispute that. It's the fastest .22cal factory round for an AR15 and gets within a couple hundred fps of a 22-250. Wildcatters have some other options that will exceed 22-250 velocities in an AR15 but they are obviously not off the shelf options.

I think you misunderstood my criticism as an attack not just my insight on the cartridge. Like I said, it does what Nosler wanted it to do and does it well. I was just talking about ways I personally would've changed the design for what I see as improvements. If nothing else it's another source of new brass to use for wildcats.

It's all good! There's just a lot of people that "talk" about things they have no clue on. You seem to have a good understanding on how things work. I did't mean for any disrespect or to come across as a dick.

Anyone use a slide clip on a handgun? Looking to try one on my Glock 43. Seems like a decent way to carry one inside the waist without adding any bulk.
