And then this is a mashup of photos on the day the Bryant was installed back in June 2010...

The voice you hear saying "This is Operation: Heat Pump!" in the beginning is my friend whose parents consulted me on what kind of heat pump to buy. This friend has Asperger's as well.

    Here's the video:

And then of course I ripped the outgoing Trane XE1000 in my friend's parents' driveway before a truck came to take it away...

That's how I learned the specifics about basic residential air-source heat pump operation. Good times!

Again, these were both taken on installation day (Thursday, June 3, 2010):

Ten years is the average for a heat pump but I have a video on YouTube from 2011 of a 1984 Carrier heat pump running flawlessly in a 95F heat. In my opinion straight-cool A/C units should last 12-20 years. All depends on how you care for it...

    Hey Charlie.

I was thinking about your oil change thing. I have 2 OEM filters I can't use because my truck got totaled. So, if your parents say it's okay for you to change your own oil, I'll send them to you for free.

Will you live with your parents forever??

I know some people who plan on doing it my 30 year old coworker still does no matter his parents best efforts to get him to move out.

Unless your still in High School you might think about leaving the nest!!

Then you can within the eyes of the law do pretty much what you want.

Unfortunately, most apartment complexes will not allow you to change your oil also on their lots. You should be saving up for a house.

If I had still been living at home when I was 30 my father would have had no problem whatsoever kicking my ass out.

Someone called me "sir" the other day I told them that when I was growing up that was my father's name, his first name was "yes"...

My next door neighbor has a 5th generation BMW 3-series convertible with run-flat tires. He had a plane to catch and was rushing to the airport, and he ran over something. He chose to drive like 30-40 MPH the rest of the way to the airport and this is what resulted...

    IMG_3104.jpg

The rim was not damaged. My neighbor just dropped the car off at a nearby garage to be fixed, took an Uber to the airport, and picked it up when he got back home...

OP here... There is however an exception to the rule. Spotted this in Doylestown a couple weeks ago. I've always loved Speedway Blue. If I found 3rd gen access cab SR5 4x4 in Speedway Blue with the 2.7L, I'd buy it as a replacement...

Trip to NYC with the parents back in summer 2006...

My mom took this picture of me in Times Square. That NYPD squad car behind me is a redesigned Chevy Impala (2006 was the first year for this style). Since the picture was taken in 2006, this was a brand spanking new police cruiser! You can even see a uniformed officer in the shotgun seat, and there's no way in hell he didn't know I was posing for a picture next to the car. Further proof that 99% of LEOs are actually pretty awesome:
    22067_1316187782013_2592260_n.jpg

Pretty self-explanatory where this pic was taken:

My parents took me to Disneyland in November 1996 (We lived in Santa Clara at the time so it was about a 5-6 hour drive). I was 7 in these pictures.

Me with my mom (As in the woman who carried me for 9 months, raised me for 18 years, and continues to go above and beyond for me to this very day):
    17867_1311117855268_1274278_n.jpg

Me with Quasimodo (at almost 28, the Hunchback of Notre Dame is still one of my favorite movies; bought it on iTunes):
    17867_1311117255253_1084861_n.jpg

Of course I wanted a picture with a car:
