Do you have any sound clips of the gibson exhaust?

Theres a bunch of sales right now and im between the gibson and the mbrp catback exhaust...

It sounds better in the lower "gurgle" RPM. This camera's mic isn't the greatest.

 

MBRP turndown sounds mean, I have one of those with the AFE CAI w/ dynamic scoop currently and it sounds badass. Not too loud but there's a noticeable deep rumble to it and whenever you get on the gas it sounds pretty good for a 6-banger imo

 

How's it sound in the cab?

This is the first exhaust I looked at

Sounds good! I'm going to pull the trigger this week on an exhaust!

As far as intake that may take a little longer I want to get @G Tek Fab intake kit that modifies the factory air box

 

These are my choices... what do you guys think?

 

It sounds pretty good in the cab. There's a bit of highway drone but with either the stock airbox or the afe air intake you'll be fine. K&N was loud enough that it shook all the interior panels so I sold it to somebody with a different exhaust setup

For the intake, I just used the k&n drop in filter.

 

Yeah I've always used k&n in the past but now knowing they are oiled and over time the clog the MAF I'll be getting an afe drop in dry filter and take of the baffle and resonator on the factory intake box

I've listened to all the exhaust clips I can find, over and over. And while I'm not big fan of FlowMaster, this is still the best setup I think I've heard so far:

I think I'll do the 40 series as well, but instead of 2.5 in /dual 2.25 out, I'll do the 409 stainless steel 3" in / dual 2.5" out, with 3" rolled tips.... I think two smaller tips, as opposed to one larger 4" tip or even two larger 3.5" or 4" tips would look a little better.

If you're looking at autoanything mbrp, you might want to look at their stainless versions since they're pretty cheap with the discount.

 

Do anyone of you guys have a inside cabin noise "drone" of the Gibson Exhaust? On highway or street cruising? Need clips and can't find anything! Plus auto any thing has a 15% sale on all Gibson setups!

 

It's pretty minimal at normal RPM's. Definitely a little louder when my right foot is wedged in the tailpipe of the car in front of me.

Had a nice grumble to it louder then stock but still tame
