the v8 is nice, i just couldn't get over the ugly body lines of a 4th gen..

the 4th did feel a little roomier in the cockpit, but overall i feel like the 3rd has more usable space.

 

the biggest deterrent with 3rd gens is the mileage. although the 3.4 is known to last, soccer moms racked the miles up.
the 4th gens being newer by nature don't have this issue.

 

i looked at it in a perspective of, do i really want to wish i wouldve gotten a v8 in 5 years from now?
and that answered the question if i would've went w/ a 4th gen.

also wasn't the biggest fan of 4wd/AWD all the time in it.

but id be lieing if i said i didn't almost buy one. dealership wanted 3-4k more than i wanted to pay and wouldn't come down from their "no-bull" price.

4th gens are awesome everyone says to go v8 but then it's all the time 4 wheel drive. I went with the v6 and couldn't be happier it's peppy, best vehicle I've owned thus fair and I've owned 2 2nd gens and 1st gen Tacomas if you have any questions let me know. Also if you get 05' and under check the dash they had a recall for it cracking, 06' and up are solid plus have the led tails.

I know mine looks bro but it's how I bought it I've been looking for wheels but been to broke lol and it's not my daily.
