I can't do more than 2 hrs at a time..I bleed too much.

 

Wow, really? I work in the medical profession, by trade, and that leads me to wanting to ask questions. Hahaha 2 hours is respectable enough, so long as the tattoo artist isn't too heavy handed. The one tattoo I bled too much on was because the tattooer was a tool.

 

Whoever said Blondes are dumb......

 

Yup, I could sit longer but at that point if the ink don't take well it's pointless. My skull eyesockets had to be redone b/c of it.

 

Y'all need to stop talking about tats. Giving me the itch to get another.
Shit it's been like 7 years since i got one so I can't talk. Problem is the one I have planned is on my foot and I have no time off work to sit there and let it heal proper.

 

It's been about 5 since my last one. If you don't have the time off available for the foot tat, skip it and go to the next one lined up. Tats are almost as bad as truck mods, there's normally a list.

Today I'm shooting a friend's wedding. Told her I'd do it for free but she insisted to pay me. Hopefully it's enough for a tat....or my next mod

 

Been 1.5 since mine..months, that is. I'm a late bloomer though..

Next one is Darth Maul on my right forearm to keep with the evil theme

 

I always get a kick out of folks who get some sorta Chinese saying tat.

Only to one day find out it's really something off a Chinese menu!

Then again, nothing wrong with a tat that says Egg drop soup and pork fried rice!

 

Welp any money I could have just earned for doing this wedding shoot is down the drain.
Some jackass knocked over my tripod that had a flash on it and broke the ball mount. The type of tripod it is I have to buy a whole new one. $130 out the door . Dude didn't even say sorry.

 

Find out who the jackass is and tell him to pay up.

Tattoos are like truck mods. The better they are the more money you spend. I hate cheap tattoo's like I
hate cheap mods.

Couldn't agree with you more, I've had a few people ask me why i would spend so much on a tattoo. It's easy, compare your chicken scratch to my art work.

 

I painted my last one with watercolor and had the tattoo artist transfer it over. He gives discounts on larger pieces because he loves doing them and not many people come in for them. Score.

 

Ass beating time!

 

Cheap is one thing if simple. My first one cost me $100 because it was simple and took about 40 minutes. My 2nd was $250 and took 2 hrs. My 3rd I just finished was about $600 and 5-6 hrs in all. Shit is permanent so get it right the first time..

On my 3rd I got the line work done 18 months ago and took a yr to go back and finish it, due to several things..money, time, and figuring out what colors to use and how to enhance the original. I'll have to post some pics of the progression as well as the source pic.

 

First one..simple because I am terrified of needles and figured if it was that bad I could sweat it out and never do it again.



Not 2 weeks later, 2 hours in the chair for this:



3rd one started Oct 2015..2.5 hrs here



I got the torso, head, and crucifix colored Dec 2016. Don't have a separate pic.

This is after I got the lava pit, bones, and flames:




Finishing touches, the script and filling in the legs. I was thinking of a reflection off the lava but decided against it and stuck to the source pic for that part..
