Hey Tmat, "got 18.6 miles per gallon last fill up, all city driving. and an average of 19.2 mpgs.." You sit allot in traffic? Otherwise clean the air filter out and try again. Either that or your'e driving to work up hill, both ways! (get it) :D

I just got an AFE pro dry s air filter, well not "just", but I got it during the summer and have not done any desert wheeling or anything, so it should be clean. and the driving I do is all city street driving, no traffic really. But still!

in the winter i've been averaging between 19.5 to 21. in the summer i think i was getting just about 25 mpg all the time. mixed backroad/stop and go driving with highway driving. my best ever was 26.5 and that was all interstate driving at roughly 65 mph, straight and flat haha. i have the stock tires still, stock everything except for an afe dry filter drop in. oh and i run synthetic oil in everything. i doubt that makes that much of a difference though.

How was Sedona? Did you get hit with some rain?

I filled up the night before I hit up Chimney Rocks, my SG says I averaged 22.4 MPG on about a quarter tank.

2006 access cab 4-cyl 4-speed auto 2wd with stock radials 215/70-15... if I go until the fuel light comes on, it's around 425 miles in a tank (average 24.5 mpg). Normally I refill whenever convenient after it hits 1/4.

EDIT: *approximate* miles at gauge marks, with my typical commute and average weekly driving:
-- at fill up (above full) 0 miles
-- exactly at full mark 75 miles
    -- 3/4 mark 150 miles
    -- 1/2 mark 260 miles
    -- 1/4 mark 380 miles
I could probably push it to 450 miles at or near the "E" mark but am not comfortable doing that since the in-tank pump relies on fuel for cooling.

future plan of 2" drop and any type of rim thats not a steelie. grille and BHLM mods, maybe....
just cracked 1000 miles on the 2010 today, filled up at 330.4 miles, took 15.51 gallons.

got 21mpg 1st tank but wasnt sure how full Toyota filled it or with what grade. 2nd tank was premium, got 22mpg with some highway, 3rd tank was Plus got 21.3, mostly city with no long runs on the highway.... todays fill was with regular and ill see what i get with this one. The truck is doing better then i thought it would. Im doing a 770 mile trip in April, hoping for 30mpg or better. My 06 GMC Canyon 21/27 rated got 34 on that same trip. Just put an Extang full tilt on today, fits like crap due to bed tapper....anyway, that should help also. that Mythbusters thing is BS, i have stuff in my bed that would disturb that "bubble" the bed creates and WILL cause drag...so lets see. oh the 21.3 mpg i was carrying weight in the bed also, about 300 lbs of paper. (im a pressman :) )

sooooo....more to post soon as i get more tanks thru my truck. i usually fill up around 320-340 miles with aobut 1/8th of a tank SHOWING....and it takes 15-16 gallons...

In the city I'll normally get 310-330 miles to a tank. Thats filling it up all the way, and then running it until the low fuel light comes on.

Lately my light has been coming on at 360-370mi . Averaging about 22 these last few tanks. I should be able to do better when it gets warmer and doesn't rain and blow all the time.

412 miles on the last tank, needed 16.8 gallons to fill. A nice 24.4 MPG Looks like winter blend fuel may be over with.
