I've done this swap on an old Civic (my non-tach cluster for one with a tach). I was able to transplant the odometer assembly from my non-tach cluster to the new one, thus maintaining the original mileage. Is that not possible with Toyota clusters ?

Not for me because my original one was a rolling dial style and the cluster I'm using now is a digital screen with trip a and b.

If your donor and original are the same styles, it may be possible. The clusters breakdown pretty far. You can ever replace just the screen if it goes out. So I would imagine if you swapped the electrical board that's on there, it would carry your miles. There's a small memory chip on that board that stores the data. This is just an educated guess though. I have not done it myself since my donor cluster was a different style.

@Tacofire98 is right, it's an All-Pro APEX. It's a really nice bumper - both stout and pretty.

Thanks! I don't have a build thread unfortunately. I always meant to start one. But I'm about to list her for sale, so I hope to try to remember most of the stuff I've done to it in that thread.

What's that creepin in the back? Also, what kind of pods/mounts did you go with?

How many hours did the rebuild take? Removal to reinstall? And how much cash you have to put into a project like that? Thinking about doing mine soon... never done one though. Thanks bud!

I just saw a 2001 with 32k original listed for $9k truck.. 2wd 5spd single cab. Kid said he'd take 8 for it. Comes with cap. That sound like a deal or nah?

Would depend on condition and if there's rust underneath. Depending on what your plans would be, you may want to make sure if it's a prerunner or just simply a base model. Either way, if everything checks out, and you have the money, go for it. Even if it was a base model, you could probably sell it for a lot more outright.
