Had a half decent break in the weather today and with all the snow and the salt on the roads I wanted to give it a good cleaning scrubbed it top to bottom then I hit it with a layer of cleaner wax buffed that off with my random orbital polisher then gave her a coat of black wax buffed that off then a nice coat of some Meguiars that I had shining like a diamond

That looks really good man. I really want to learn how to do a 'proper' wax job, like with the clay bar and the whole nine yards. I've done the waxing by hand and with orbital but never cared too much to go all the way with it. Can't be too hard, just haven't tried or been to keen on messing around with that stuff.
Anyone know of a good website or webpage that doesn't have BS in it regarding properly waxing or whatever it'd be called?

I always apply the wax by hand ,some people apply with the orbital polisher but i like to do it by hand in case i see a spot i missed washing i can pay better attention, i always wax the entire vehicle thst way by the time you finish the spot you started is ready tocome off that when i use my orbital you can use a buffer but unless you know what your doing you can damage paint with a buffer where as with orbital polisher you cant damage paint and it makes the job so much easier

I hear ya. The other day it squalled here pretty good and they were dumping salt by the fucking shit ton. :(
I hated driving on it. They have been very gracious with their salt use this winter for some reason.
