And putting an additional or changing the filter is required because ?? I saw @Tacoma Mike mentioned that he has not had but a tundra one go bad. So why would one want or need to change it ?

Factory sponge filter is crap. Deterioration and gets sucked in. I'm sure Mike can elaborate.

I actually feel fine. When it was high and it got those low I'd feel it, but now that I'm at this point I can only hope my A1c is down and we'll just keep doing what I am to keep it there. It's actually pretty sustainable and I've dumped some weight and feel comfortable and can actually drop some more and probably feel better.

I don't have one. Smog pump. Under cover is the cheapo filter. People are putting a pleated filter kinda like I put on race kart.

I was 5.6 and started eating lots of ring dings etc. to see how bad it was going to be. I went to 6.4 and felt better.so I think my target is going to be 6 to 6.2

There's a few that had th pump fail after the foam filter disintegrated and damaged the pump vanes. Remove the torx screw and pull the foam. The cover on the air inlet snaps off which is replaced by the new filter. I did mine. For me, if it lessens a chance of failure and doesn't cost much then I'd do it. Biggest issue for me is that it sets a code and will put the truck in limp mode cutting power from the engine until the code is cleared.

Mine swings to much and I truly doubt I'll get off the meds and not have it go back up, and it's such a fight to get it back down I'd rather not make any drastic changes...a tweak here and there won't be all that bad now. My occasional shrimp burrito or a once a month stop at the taco shop hasn't hurt anything I can see so far. I don't see eating sweets anymore.

I basically stopped reg. Pepsie etc. and lots of chocolate. I ate their diet for 3 months and I lost a lot of weight and felt like shit. So I stopped the above and gained 75% of what I lost. And that's were I am now.
