I'm going to have mine butchered with as much "bone in" as I can. No bacon, just slab belly and anything scrap will go into ground. Bone in meat is so much tastier and doesn't dry out as much.

I found diet soda is a hindrance for me too. I'll drink an occasional diet Dr Pepper, but it's mostly coffee and water for me.

Im on Metformin, and was on perkoset. Not perkiest. I wish I had some perkiest. I think my wife has some. Wish I would have thought of that last night.
Glimpride. Kinda like gaypride, but for diabetics. My blood sugar kept tanking on me and I would feel like shit. Then I would get tired. It was exhausting. So doc took me of the glympride. Now Im running 120s 130s. Spikes after meals sometimes to 170s.

You all misunderstand me. I am probably as much if not more carnivorous than anybody in here. God knows I could live eating nothing but meat and cheese. All my dietary changes have had to be made for health reasons. Hell I've been known to cook steaks while I'm cutting the meet off the deer. There's not many vegetables I'd really miss

Dunno bout perfect, but its a hell of a lot better than what I was running.
I went to have my physical and the doctor is looking at my results and asks me if I had diabetes. I told him no, and he said hold on he'd be right back. My piss was over a thousand. I told him I had drank about 4 big glasses of orange juice that morning maybe thats why. He yelled at me and told my Im not supposed to have ANY in my piss. LOL.
    It did explain a lot.

The pump is mounted on the passenger side inner fender next to the windshield washer fluid reservoir.

I'm on it and Januvia. The Januvia really stabilized it, but I did the dietary change for bloodpressure at the same time and, since I'm in the window for my A1c test for my cdl, I'm not going to do any tweaks with food or drugs till after the blood draw. After I pass the yearly physical, I can play around with it and see where I can make any adjustments if any.

I hear ya. I'll do a slice of raw in a second. I'd suck the marrow out of a bone like a fat kid on a slurpee straw.
