No that's a license plate guitar.
A resonator is a little like that with a metal bowl sort of to change and enhance the vibes of the strings. Makes it a little more twangy

Id just bought a new guitar, I wanna say it was my Les Paul, when he put up his 3 string shovel video. I showed it to my wife, and she told me "see, you didn't need to buy a new guitar, Ive got a shovel you could use right out in the shed".

 

Ya. I like Resonators. I like that swampy tone. I really would like to figure out how to get that tone JJ gets.
Id also like to figure out how to play well.
