    It's been on my brain, for sure. Wanting to see if the 3rz ARP studs are long enough for the 2tr head. Time to break out my mic and get to measuring..

    Did they do any chamber work?

    They did not. Just the intake and exhaust ports.

    Post up once you find out if the studs are the same.

    I imagine that they are. Besides, the ARP studs will be a little longer anyway. With about a 1/4" of threads above the top of the nut, when tightened down.

    The longer the resonator, the less drone. Within respect to available space. Check what will fit first.

    So vibrant makes 3 different size resonators and I'm not sure which one to get. F me

    It is straight through. It won't be "too" quiet. Quiet is still subjective.

    I run a 24" center center magnaflow muffler with a shorty magnaflow race muffler 12" total length 8" body just after the y pipe. No drone and it still is loud enough for my taste. I have urd equal length headers and a stock y pipe and stock cat back pipes exiting in the stock location @TacoJova

    Hey man I was looking into lowering my truck and left a more detailed question on the street trucks area, but how did you lower your truck in particular? I went back and read till you did the qa1 coil overs. Where those bolt in replacements? Also how far is your bump stop from the lower control arm?

    I figure I can lower my truck with a drop spring, but then my bump stop would be super close to the LC, so that would require moving the bump stop up more right? Someone also mentioned I'd need a drop spindle to keep geometry. Basically I wanna run 17x9 SCS f5's and a street tire, like 25.5" for the one I have in mind, and a 25.5 inch tire would look funny on stock prerunner suspension I would think...

    Maybe I should call qa1 and see if they have a coil over that'll bolt to a 1st gen prerunner...

    We'll get to that in a bit, Brice.

    I've got good and confusing news.

    First the confusing. Not sure why, but the OEM coolant temp sensor does not scale properly with temperature increases, while wired in parallel to be used for the Haltech. "In parallel" since the jumper harness, uses an input for the sensor, off of the factory wiring. Might be cause a resistance change, since in parallel, but I don't know for certain.

    Since I already had a GM 3/8" NPT fitting installed in the rear crossover, underneath the OEM sensor's location, I plugged in the wire harness for it, and tapped it into the input which was originally for the OEM coolant sensor - Haltech. Loaded the pre-saved sensor map, in the Haltech files, and "a monkey's your uncle." Lol. Worked perfectly, and the OEM sensor reads as well, since not being used.

    @Lucario Runner with laptop at the ready, we verified the TDC Offset angle. Originally after the remote tuning session, it was set to 515 degrees. To zero it out, it needed to be adjusted to 525 degrees, for my engine.

    Once that was done, and the wideband sensors installed, it was off to idle and low speed cruising fuel adjustments. My God do we enjoy the intuitive and simple layout of the program. So easy to navigate, and modify. It drives very smooth. Smoother than on the OEM. Unbelievable.

    Other nifty feature, is that I no longer have any CEL light, for having non VVT cams. Or any other for that matter. :woot:

    The Haltech control everything. Muwahahahaha :drevil:

    Here is the OEM coolant sensor, in the crossover. Unfortunately I have no picture of the GM sensor, on its underside.

    Thank you. If only I could portal back in time, and take the Haltech with me. :smack: pop myself over the back of the head, for the tuning problems associated with the ProEFI software. Then hand myself, in a halo of light, the Haltech Elite. Oh man. What I've have save in efforts.
