Depends on the angle of the shackle. If perfectly at 45°, it's a 2:1 ratio of increased shackle length to lift height.

My longer shackles have worked amazing....different leafs completely but still..

Smart choice I think. Keeps the rig very versitle.

Just need to find, or make, 1" longer shackles. 2" longer (1" lift) gave more droop yet, but had quite a bit more negative arch. Probably still work though, just would need to raise the bumps. Might be detrimental to shackle angles too.

One side down. Ran out of gas about 3/4 of the way through the 2nd side.

How do you like that pack with the two added leafs?

Looking like I'm going to go that route

Is it plausible to mount a shock up in the bedside? I'm guessing longer axle would be necessary and maybe cut into the bed a smidge. They would likely end up like \ /. Just throwing it out there without looking at the truck.

Probably overkill to have the plates and boxed, but can't hurt either.

Not quite sure I understand what you're thinking, going inside the frame but angled them out? Think you would have to cut quite a bit of the bed, and the lower mounts would have to be pretty far inboard to clear the frame. Wouldn't be an effective solution for shock performance.

    :brianr: I'm learning.

There was a few tricky spots that make it look messier than it is, but overall I was happy with how it welded up. Not the easiest thing to weld. Regardless, those plates aren't going anywhere.

Outside of the frame. Tire would probably be in the way unless you have some crazy backspace

I'm sure someone would have done it by now if it was reasonable

Yeah, don't see that working without a wider axle, and even then, not sure why you would want them angled.

    75/25

:brianr: At least I didn't burn any holes in the frame like some other individuals who have welded on my truck. :p

so you're not at a 1:1 lever ratio. Much easier to tune a shock if the shock shaft speeds aren't exactly the same as the axle.
