yeah I feel like if you get it done on a regular basis your good, but if it hasn't ever been done in over 200k km's then it has its risks getting a full pump down flush. that's my opinion anyways haha

on a side note, did you get that camping bed?

fair enough! nice man, new battery is always good! what kind of battery did you go with? Mine still turns the engine over so I wont be changing it yet haha but I have a feeling its the original battery, it says Toyota on it, but the previous owner could have always got a new one from Toyota I guess haha its beautiful where I am, a little chilly but warm enough to do the 4x4 illumination switch mod! not quite done yet, still have to do my final solders but its working. I just don't feel like running an extension cord to my truck to plug in the soldering iron.

I don't remember the brand of the battery, I bought it from an autopart store where my father has an account and a great discount and I am allowed to buy on it :p as long as it gets the job done I am happy. Went from 580 cca to 700. Cranks much faster. I tested the old one on friday because I found it weaker each day and it also tested weak/bad so I pulled the trigger on the new one. Today was a beautiful day to work outside! Sunshine and very less wind! The 4x4 illuminated switch is a great mod, I would like to do it someday, if you want you can talk about the procedure ;)

I may be "dumb" but why soldering is so important? I've always twisted my wires together and sealed them in a shrink tube and everything was fine... but it seems that everyone here are 100% solder lol... maybe that's just me haha

hahaha fair enough, like you said as long as it gets the job done! The mods really easy actually, I'm about to go out and see what it looks like now that its darker, when u do decide to do it id be more then happy to lend a hand if need be. as for soldering, its just a sure way to avoid bad contact or wires coming loose. Theres nothing wrong with not soldering but I personally think it adds a more professional touch to the job. When I'm splicing into factory wires I want to be sure the connection is good and strong because I don't want it to cause anything to happen. if what ever I added starts acting up, I can be sure its not a connection issue.

Lol when I do splice into factory I am so scare to f**up something that I do it the non permanent way so I can go back to normal lol. But I should practice soldering because it's true that it looks more professional! Do you have a link for the illuminated switch? I might sleep on the idea and I could calm the mod bug for a while!

hahaha I always test it out before I go ahead and solder. Soldering is easy and I enjoy it haha I think I like doing it mostly cuz it makes me FEEL professional hahaha if you click on the payment link at the top of the thread OP theres pictures of different color options.

Thunder Bay eh. That's a bit of a hike from my neck of the woods. But it's always nice to see some new terrain.

Definitely different up north, I'm currently working in London. It's like a different province down here

I have been as far as north bay so far. Hope to get down to Thunder Bay one day.

Based on some of your wheeling pictures in your build, it looks pretty nice down there.

I have the owner of Core-outfitters in my group and he comes up every so often. I know another dude from down south too. The summertime will definitely have some meeting and greeting involved

I hacked mine just before the axle.

Wouldn't have looked too good with the rear bumper.

That's always the responsible thing to do! Just make sure the exhaust doesn't point at the rear axle. Made that mistake. Can heat up the gear oil apparently and prematurely wear the fluid.
