Anonymous Truck Admirers?

My sentiments exactly. This thread is ridiculous.

 

Yeah I pretty regularly get people complimenting my truck. I get way more attention in my Taco than I did with my Corvette. lol

 

I've had some compliments on the color of my truck, one really funny instance the first time I drove it to work. Some guy getting off his shift stopped, and slowly walked around it twice, kept getting closer and closer, it almost seemed like he was gonna try to jump in it and take off! I happened to be by the window and couldn't help but laugh. As he walked away, he kept turning his head back to look at it, it was rather comical. When I drive through town, I see a lot of guys turn their heads to follow the truck, it's kinda funny.

 

I've gotten a few window roll down saying "Nice Truck"! The best one I have was at a stop light looking down at my phone and looked up and a cop had pulled up next to me and rolled down his window and said "How much lift?" I responded with 3" and told me "Bad Ass Truck" with the nod of approval. Scured the crap out of me.

Now every time my Fiance 5'1" drives my truck every goon on the road makes it very clear how bad ass my truck is until I lean forward in the passenger seat and say Thanks! She honestly gets 3-4 comments every time she drives. I make her drive sometimes bc I like getting the comments lol.

 

Dropping my truck off at the dealer once, another guy waiting was admiring it. Like, REALLY admiring it. He was walking all around it looking at the suspension, sliders, lights, etc. Had a good chat about off roading while we waited.

 

Oh yeah, all the time... girls keep telling me my truck makes them "as wet as that license plate light."




In all seriousness though I did get a stupefied, slack-jaw stare of admiration from one of the dealer techs when I was in for my 5K. Other than that, not much. Then again I didn't buy it to make anyone but myself happy.

Craigslist $400 it's an all pro cab high exbro rack. Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet. Impulse buy.

I've actually had a few people negatively ask, what's the point of that rack.

 

It's an early 16' as well. I'm pretty sure brocelona was one of the original colors

The 17+ has an SR convenience package that comes with fender flares and some other stuff.

Had a guy wait out in the parking lot at harbor freight for me when i had had mine for 2 days. He wanted to know how i found a double cab long bed with the off road package lol. Said he had been looking for months.. I expalined how i did a build on the Toyota main website every 2-3 days all summer and finally found one with "exact match". Next step was locating it from one of the 6 dealerships within 200 miles. Found it and had it the next day lol

Ya, I got a few questions like nice primer color, what color you going to paint it? (PRO cement).

 

Not sure if it counts, but a dog took a dump by my tire the other day. Caught him mid poo. I assume its a sign of respect. Not sure.
