I'm looking to buy a new TRD Off-Road, have been browsing the board a lot for the last few weeks, so I thought I'd register.

I currently own a Nissan Frontier Nismo 4x4 automatic transmission which has run fine so far, but they have a known issue with cross contamination between the radiator and automatic transmission fluid in my generation. Nissan merely offered an extended partial warranty, no recall. The cross contamination hasn't happened to me yet, but I don't want to wait around much longer. I'm also irked at myself for going auto instead of manual back when I bought it. So I'm looking for a Toyota with a manual transmission... Murphy's Law says the simpler, less automatic option will be the more reliable anyway.

Yeah I know. But I was also thinking: I want a manual transmission on General Principles as well, I want a bigger, 4-person cab rather than the extended cab I have now, as I'd like to take along more people and I don't haul around all the crap I used to anymore. Also, Toyota, being more popular, will by nature have more aftermarket accessories available to it. I remember looking at available bumpers for my Nissan a few years back and being rather disappointed. And one more thing, when I saw that Quicksand color Toyota has, I was rather wowed.

Thanks to everyone for the welcome.
