These fenders and chrome nerf bars RUIN the look of this otherwise great truck. The person that did this should be fired, re-hired and fired again.

IMO that kind of look belongs on a Dodge Ram, not a Tacoma. But to each his own

How is it unfortunate? If someone makes a decision to buy it...then that means they like it. No one is forcing it on them.

One needs only to browse this forum to see enough stupid stuff to fill the Grand Canyon. Things, that albeit are subjective, are considerably more offensive then these flares could ever be. The "Bro" runs deep around here. Yet, if a dealer does it...someone how it's not worthy

 all I'm saying is someone who doesn't know what they're doing is going to end up overpaying for something that is not even matched to the color of the car correctly. No need to go all keyboard warrior

    Keyboard warrior? Really?

I just don't understand how someone is a "victim" for making a conscious decision to buy something....that's all. :notsure:

When you guys are talking about "port" installed things, what are you talking about.?? Where is this "port" and why do they exist?

I just do not understand the concept. Is it a place that the factory ships all trucks from Mex/Texas and they add shit to them if the dealer wants..?? Where is this magical place..??:confused::confused::confused::confused:

Toyota is so big they actually are a conglomerate. Southeast Toyota is one of those components. When the trucks come off the boat/train etc, SET installs these accessories- tonneau covers, bed lights, underbody lighting, flares, etc. these are actually non Toyota parts, but they are dealer warranted because they are installed by their mothership. They're pretty cheap parts, and serve as a serious profit maker.

I know the Port for my area is in Chicago, they do Port installed stuff because it would slow the Assembly Line Process down. Things on my option list like Door Sill Protectors, Floor Liners, D Rings will get done at the Port. I also got Paint Protection Film but am not sure if that is Port or Dealer installed.

I think on the west coast, its somewhere in long beach (if its being shipped from Japan), or Mira Loma if its being train/trucked in. Could even be right outside the Toyota plant for all we know. But the way I understand it, somewhere between the truck rolling off the assembly line and being received by the dealer is when all the port stuff gets installed.

Southeast toyota port is in Jacksonville FL. The trucks come from the factory to the SET port, and then SET distributes them to the dealers. SET and Gulf states toyota are privately owned distributors that own their regions, the rest of the states are distributed by Toyota themselves. SET and GST love to add this aftermarket crap and charge a huge up charge.

Well, although I don't think its nice or fair, this is the free market. You can choose not to buy. With Doctors, I have a different feeling, our medical industry is sucking us dry and the insurance market is supporting this. Lawyer, well they are in a league on their own.
