Because none of their other processors haven't been competitors...? I've always seen AMD as a budget reasonable comparison to anything Intel has. I use AMD because I like saving money and don't need that possible fraction of a nats ass hair better speed.

i catch crap all the time for using Apple, I've used since '04, haven't had near the issues i had with windows based machine, the iDevices make it that much easier to use. of course, now that we're invested in iTunes stuff and anything "better" would have to be really good to make the switch worth it.
I don't brag about it, its just what i use. like Matco, Dukes, Chock full O Nuts, just what works for me. nobody has to approve or even like it.
