If you're referring to the exhaust, thats exactly what this thread is about.

If you're referring to the clocked tcase and crawl box, well that's a different story

This is the exhaust reroute thread isn't it? I've seen nobody comment that they've routed it this way and it seems a hell of a lot easier than wrapping it around the back of the t case

the only reason the person was able to route it where they did in your photo is because of the extra clearance gained by the crawl box and clocked t-case. That is essentially stock routing location maybe pushed up an inch or so.

I checked and I think I can run mine there with stock t case, looks like there's plenty of clearance as is....I guess I'll update when I get around to it

Just got my exhaust rerouted by SpeeDee Mufflers in Hayward. I bought a Flowmaster 40 Series Delta Flow online and had them mount that too. Cost me $206.

As others, didn't notice any power differences but my drive to work today I got 1mpg better with the new setup. It was a bit warmer this morning and I've seen that much difference when tires are 36psi vs 33-34.

Welds were decent but I've never really had exhaust work done before. As long as it's not leaking, I don't worry about it.

Looks like the flange from the Left cat was cut to tie in and then relocated to the 2 into 1 section. There's good space away from the t-case Plastic housing. There's about 1" between the section to the left of the T-case and the case. I'm a little concerned about that so may put a shield there.

    OH. I almost forgot.

Shop manager asked if I wanted the parts they cut off. So I took them for...I don't know why but when I got home I looked at the crossover pipe and saw this.

    Photo Mar 10, 8 43 41 PM.jpg Photo Mar 10, 8 43 20 PM.jpg Photo Mar 10, 8 43 13 PM.jpg

Looks like the crossover is a double walled assy. That made sense because when I was describing to teh mechanic what I wanted and how to route it, I was noticing the pipe exiting the Left Cat was larger than the 2 into 1 sections that came together then were upsized. It looked like it went Cat>2.5" Crossover>2" 2 in 1 section> 2.5" tailpipe to muffler.

I wonder if Toyota was concerned with Heat around the T-Case or if this serves a different purpose.

Anybody have any thoughts on the double wall pipe? Makes me question if doing the reroute is a good idea. Why wouldn't toyota have routed it there in the first place?

Got mine done. Wasn't cheap, bout as much as the URD pipe, but I think this one is better.
All stainless piping, reused the front flange on the rear and the the stock mounting location. The guys did a really nice job.
Hats off to the Meccanic Shop in North Salem NY.
