Did anyone happen to see the Barcia/Tickle purse fight? I watched for it but never saw anything.

When did that happen? I only watched the 450 main from this week. They sure hide the fights now.

After they got into a block passing party in the 2nd heat. Apparently Barcia said something to Tickle and then Tickle took a swing at him.

I didn't see it on TV. I saw them going back and forth in the heat and then they said Tickle got docked his gate position in the semi, but no other details, unless I missed it.

Either way, I liked the track. It broke down and got sketchy but the layout was pretty sweet, I thought. I thought the quad section was very sweet. Reed was so flawless in his heat. I would've loved to see him do a little better in the main. I liked seeing the Star Yamaha 250s finally get up there, where they should be, also.

Reed is just getting too old to compete with the young guns. Arm pump at 25 isn't the same at 35.
Can Reed be fast and get a hole shot? Yes. But time has caught up and it's time to pack it up and just
ride with your buddies for fun. :bikewhoops:

Ya probably partially true. I don't expect him to really win, I just wanted him to.

There is something to be said for a 35 year old being 1 of the first to not only quad that section but make it look so smooth / effortlessly. I thought out of everyone in the heat races he looked the best through that section and the whoops. So for a 35 year old, he deserves major props.

I'm 32 and I bitch for the first 15 minutes on a bike that I'm not warmed up yet. Reed looked good out there. Every time the camera was on him I'm like keep it together man. He's usually getting top 10. Maybe Reed trying to do the Kevin Windham thing.

Noticed Dung using more hustle this race with that bad start. End of this season is going to be good. Tomac only 25 pts behind first.

Agreed with all above. Track layout was good for racing this week but changed almost every lap by breaking down. Reed is still out there doing more than most have the ability to do regardless of age (young guns vs. iron man I suppose). Can't really knock that...

    Where's Bubba? Waiting for Daytona?

That's the word I heard a month ago. Daytona next week maybe. Might need to stalk his IG this week.

Last I saw Bubba looked like he had been "eating healthy"...maybe not enough push-ups from the dinner table. I would be amused to see him come back for Daytona, smoke everyone, and then watch all the haters worldwide drown in their own tears...

It's the little things in life that amuse me.

As much as I would love to see him on the gate, even for just this race, he's better off not coming IMO. He's never been a guy that trained, he's just supremely gifted. But now that he's a little older and basically chills at home, he is not able to come off the couch and run with the pack anymore. I don't want to see him get smoked, or get hurt or give up mid-race (which he usually does when he's not winning). I think James can call it a career and always have my respect. But I sure do miss seeing him out there.

I'd like to hear him fully commit to a race or fully commit to retirement. Shit or get off the pot kinda thing.

    Ya I know.
Honestly though, I feel like he was milking Suzuki the past couple years anyway. After the first year and the whole suspension thing, he never really seemed like he was committed to winning a title. He'd show up (sometimes) and if he felt good, he'd give it a run. If it was going bad, then he'd just pull off or whatever. Everything has always come so easy for him, his whole career, because he was just better than everyone (except Ricky). So he never really had to face adversity or train hard etc. Now that he can't get by on that, I think he struggles with it, mentally. I mean, this is just me opinion. I would love to be proven wrong. I'm a big fan.

The guy was probably the most gifted motocross rider I've ever seen. Bubba just didn't know how to ride
at 80%. If he did he would have way more wins and less injuries. The dude is just amazing on a motocross bike.
His bubba scrubs and speed thru the whoops have always been fun to watch. And you got to admit he would jump
shit no other riders would try. :bikewhoops:

Good post. Only thing I would add is that if he knew how to back it down a bit (when the situation called for it) and not feel like he had to win all of the time, then he would have more championships (as opposed to wins). The dude never learned to ride smart. I think it is a product of him basically winning so easily for most of his life. But he never had the ability to settle in mentally and live to fight another day. He took Ricky Bobby's quote literally, I think. Lol. But yes, great style, just amazing talent. 1 of my favorites without a doubt.
