Ok...forgive the newbie questions, and yes I have read several threads on the subject of suspension lifts. However, I just have to ask some questions to make sure I know I'm on the right path when I'm about to invest some money in a lift.

My truck is pretty much a grocery getter. I live in Colorado and do some off-roading, but nothing too extreme. I ride a dirt bike for more rocky adventures. But I want to lift the truck enough to get some bigger tires on it. And I'm looking at buying Method Roost wheels, which I only think come in a 17".

If I go with the Bilstein 5100's maxed out in front with the stock coils and Bilsteins in back should I be ok. And do you think I can fit a 17" wheel with 275/75/17's without rubbing?

also, I see that the rear shocks say 0" to 1" of lift. are these adjustable like the front? if not, what gives them the lift? do you have to add a leaf? or block?

rears are not adjustable.... rear lift is dealt with the rear leaf springs (aal, full spring replacement etc).

FYI the biggest you are going to get as far as a tire is going to be a 265/70R17 its a simple mater of physical space within the wheel well.... not lift height. That is if you dont want to do any trimming etc.

FWIW, I had the 5100 adjustables on my 2001 Tundra which recently retired. I was able to go one size larger on the tires by adding 2-inch wheel spacers so the larger tire wouldn't rub the UCA. Not sure how that would work on a Tacoma, though.

I had the front shocks set to the Max setting. I kept the rear shocks stock and added i-inch blocks to make it level.

You can fit 275/70-17 Cooper AT3s on a stock wheel on stock suspension and only have to remove the front mudflaps. Worked on both my 2006 and 2017 TRD Sports.

I would recommend calling Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road and talking through a package to meet your goals.

You may choose to return what you have on order after that discussion, assuming your vendor of choice is cooperative.
