I love getting passed by the idiot weaving through traffic, nearly causing accidents and acting like they have a death wish, just to pull up next to them at the next stop light. I can't help but look over at them and wonder if they realize they're a dumbass

If you would GO THE DAMN SPEED LIMIT, I wouldn't tailgate you. :D

Yup, this happens. When I go through the yellow though, I love to watch you stop and wait!

I know, right? Driving is not a required skill in the kitchen.:ohsnap:

LOL I was on a stretch of Route 611 where it was 55 MPH and the speed limit went down to 45 MPH. I was doing about 50, and when this GTI full of teenagers roared up behind and wouldn't back off, I slowed to to like 35-40 and it worked! Plus I was in the RIGHT LANE. Keep right except to pass! If they thought I was going so slow, which I wasn't, they should have gone around me. Then I could laugh at them when got pulled over for speeding just up the road!

My best friend is an Asian woman and she's probably a better driver than me. I'm serious, LOL

She still can't drive a stick shift though... I'm one of only two people in my group of closest friends who can drive a stick... The one other friend who can drive stick used to work as an ASE certified mechanic at a car dealer and now drives an 18-wheeler for a living, so driving stick is mandatory for him...

I just learned how to drive stick because I felt like it...

I got stopped for going 30mph in a 15mph school zone in Henderson, NV a couple years ago. No one around as you describe. I got a verbal warning.

Hey OP, I think you should rename this thread. How about:

    Or

People that come to a complete stop for this sign. Hell people that slow down for this sign are doing it wrong.

    Saint Pat's 2017...

    Fothermucking DUI checkpoints!

Especially when they turn a 10-minute drive home into a 30+ minute drive home!

I am not ranting about the checkpoint itself. The cop I talked to was very polite and professional. I understand they're just doing their jobs. But seriously, who the hell wants to deal with this when they're driving hom at 11:30pm after a long day at work?

I was probably the only person coming home from a bar on St. Patrick's Day who had any business behind the wheel that night, because, um, let's see here....

    I'M A BARBACK! I WORK AT A BAR!
    20170317_1185_IMG.jpg

Even more annoying when spend every second over those 30+ minutes behind a minivan from "All 3's Taxi." I have no problem with the company itself. In fact, before I started using Uber as my defacto designated driving service when I'm actually drinking, I used All Threes. Their cabs are clean, their drivers are professional, and their service in general is very good. My problem with All Threes cabs is that all of them from the Toyota Camry and Nissan Altima Hybrid taxis, to the Town Car and Chrysler 300 luxury sedans, to minivans like the one in these three pictures have these annoying flashing brake lights. When one hits the brake pedal in a normal vehicle, the lights just come on steady. When a cab from this company brakes, the lights flash like half a dozen times, and it is borderline seizure-inducing when you get stuck behind one at night!
    20170317_1187_IMG.jpg

As someone who never drives drunk and whose Tacoma has been hit by a drunk driver, I think roving patrols are a better tool for catching drunk drivers.
    20170317_1188_IMG.jpg

I get tailed by bored cops on the way home after working late (or just driving late in general) all the time. They will tailgate me while they run my license plate, hoping that I will get nervous and swerve slightly before the records check on that silver 2010 Toyota Tacoma and the guy driving it comes back clean, but I don't do swerve or do anything "DUI-like," and they're forced to give up. More than anything, this is very amusing to watch. By the way, I've never even been pulled over much less gotten a ticket. My license is valid and I have no points. The inspection and registration stickers on my truck are up to date, and I have very good insurance.

DUI checkpoints, however, are different. I was totally sober, and the cop didn't even ask me my name or where I lived, but I was still terrified. The unfortunate drawback of these damn checkpoints is that they delay (and piss off to the point of blistering fury) hundreds or even thousands of innocent and completely sober motorists, but often end up catching less than a third as many legitimately drunk motorists.

I've lived in this area for almsot 12 years and I've never seen a DUI checkpoint on the stretch of Route 611/Easton Road where I live. I wish I'd checked the news. If I had, I would have known about the checkpoints, and I could have either driven out of my way to avoid it or stayed in Doylestown until 3am (when they shut the damn thing down; It ran from like 9-10pm until 3am).
