What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

What did I do today? I walked in for a oil change on my 2016 trd sport, came out with an upgrade. 2017 OR 6sp manual with premium & tech pkg.

 

I installed two 4.2 amp USB ports in the back truck doors on Sunday.

I tested everything before I drilled the hole but everything worked great. Now the kids have a perfect spot to charge and store the iPads and I don't have to worry about them breaking the center console location.. which they most certainly would have done if I installed it there.

With the wire, two plugs, this was only about a 35$ upgrade.

that makes sense, my buddy had a silver Jeep and he started putting red trim pieces (exterior and interior) and at first, I didnt like it, but the more I saw it, the more I liked it

 

Ya, Michigan is bad. When I lived in Florida, my insurance was twice as cheap as it is when I moved back from there. The legislature say they are looking to reduce the effects of No Fault, but I'm not holding my breath.

I have no issues getting it to 90+ MPH at highway speeds and maintaining it.it's the before 80 MPH shit that sucks....

 

That's a huge disappointment. I can second not having an issue with reaching 90+ with no issues.

 

Yep. You're up in the powerband at 90. From 70 to 80 is where my old truck struggled to hold 5 and 6th.

 

I'm curious if anyone has a good answe for me. I have some concerns with running my RTT over both cab and cap. My concern is frame flex with truck being off camber. I do not have the tent bolted to the cab roof rack. Should I be this concerned?any suggestion to eleviate any for seeable issues?

 

IS there an app to unlock MT 2017's? In case the keys get left inside? I wouldn't be asking this but my keys are inside

 

I actually like the subtle look. I also went with TACOMA for the front. It looks more sleek and meant to be. I have other plans tho. I will have some more lighting going in up front. If when I am done, I think that might look good, I may try it at that point. Thank You!

I called a Fl agent to just check on rates for my 17 TRD when he told me $1993 a yr 25/50/20 w/1K deductible I asked why he could not give a reasonable answer for these rates. I'n Northern Va i pay $587 a yr $500 Deductible 100/300/500 with a rider of addl 500K . No accidents/tickets in well over 12 years and a CS of 790+....

My current coverage in Fl was $3,221 a yr I told the guy he was representing organized criminals....

Where IS the power band? I'm driving a MT... have for 1600 miles, and can't tell where it is still... like what rpm is it happiest at?

 

Around 3000-3500 rpms. You don't aways need to be in that range but don't lug it either.
