Because then I'll want an ARB twin compressor and associated parts alot more.

Also then I'll have one less reason not to order a locker from ECGS. I'm debating gears too. Thinking not though, so I don't have to touch the front diff.

 

I think you'd be very happy with it. I think mine is a ddx470 or something. With any iPhone with 30pin connector it was awesome. I could stream Netflix on the screen, watch dvds, stream pandora from my phone into the pandora app on the headunit, but they aren't compatible with the lightning connector iPhones so now I need to upgrade headunits for the 3rd time.

Says the guy that has never replaced anything "perfectly functioning" on his truck??

I just picked up a factory touch screen out of a 2013 pretty cheap, lets see how this goes.

Do you really need that though? Couldn't you just charge with a normal chord and stream via BT? That's what I do typically, and use the aux usb for my ipod. Never tried plugging my lightening into my usb yet though.

 

The volume button is fucked up on my radio and it shuts off sometimes when it's cold, but at the same time I have the lifetime satilite radio that is now non transferable.

 

Truth. I love CDs sound

@diabetik81 you need a setup like this especially since you drive your own truck for work.

 

I have an adapter but it's finicky since it's not an Apple approved product, and it essentially only works as an aux cord. Doesn't give me song names on the screen or the ability to change songs or skip on the screen.

But mostly it just doesn't always work.

It won't Bluetooth audio with my new iPhone. But yes, with the old phone I'd leave it in my pocket and Bluetooth to the pandora app. Then I could still skip or change stations, without touching my phone.

The headunit doesn't have an aux port or USB port, just an iPod interface, which has 30 pin plug and the software in the headunit only connects with iPhones before lightning connector.

Nope. Tried that, but something about the software won't read a new iphone. So what I have is that but with an aux plug on it too, so I plug the headphone jack into my phone and sometimes it plays through the headunit. The lightning connector part won't even charge the phone, and doesn't pkay music through it.
