My current F150 work truck is a 2012 ecoboost. Into the wind the dash will say 20 L\100K, no wind or wind behind me 10L/100K. True story. They get good mileage if you stay off the gas.

Since this is kind of a "catch all thread" that Smitty has given us. :)

I was at PDK airport today and saw a super sweet new Raptor.

The way Ford did the duals was especially nice and it sounded good too.

Too big for my needs, but a nice looking truck except for those rear fender graphics o_O

PS. The next Raptor will have a turbo V8 I think

This is the story here with any truck. My V8 F150 does the same thing.

Just turned in my F150 FX4 SuperCrew EcoBoost. It towed my 7000lb boat effortlessly. It was a well made, well equipped truck - it is just too big. At 6'2" I couldn't even reach over the bed sides, and you need a built-in step to get on the tailgate. And my wife refused to drive it (which isn't necessarily a bad thing).

I am picking up my double cab, long bed, off-road next week. Going back to my Taco roots.

I love the heat, wife hid at home while I was walking around Usery Mountain Rec Area at 110+, then go north a bit on Ellsworth Road and take a dip in the Salt River, get the flyrod out with a black spider fly, catch a couple trout easy. Straw hat, white t-shirt, two bota bags to douse the hat and t-shirt with water to get the evaporative cooling effect, good times. We lived right by Ellsworth Rd and Apache Trail, spent a lot of time walking around Usery Mountain and fishing the Salt River.

Never owned a shotgun, I don't bird hunt.

    .38 S&W Chiefs Special pistol, Marlin 30-30, Winchester Model 88 lever-action, .308 Winchester round, 1967 model.

    S&W .357 4" barrel, 1965 model.

That Model 88 is a slick rifle, very accurate. 38 fits in the palm of a hand. 357 is for bear country, I like to have that monster on my hip when trekking, gives confidence when a bear charges. Don't have to shoot the bear, but if you stand your ground the bear may stop his charge. If not, I have the six-shot 357

Oh you had to go there, lol.

Of course I'm going to hunt with those! I need a little weight savings when I hump 10-15 miles a day during bird season!

Look, my F150 is "passed" my Taco (and the Chevy 2500 hd and the Subaru Legacy). Can you tell that I have a white vehicle requirement? :luvya:

    What's the topic?

Hey- I like the color scheme on your house! I just built a shop and painted it a similar color.

    932F0185-BD55-4EA3-B7CC-26642ECC703B_zps_4ced581ac9bac67bbbc985cea440ed3877aef2ae.jpg

I have to paint the house this spring/summer to match. What color are your garage doors? My wife picked that goddamned brown. I wanted to color match. Also think of breaking up our main house with shakes like you got to.

Any pics of your house I could use as a reference?
