I traded in my decked-out 2007 Tacoma for a fully-loaded 2017, and I love it. I'm working on the accessories and adding some of the many 'toys' we all love to install, but I can't find a bull bar that looks like it belongs on my new truck - they all look the same! I'm hoping the many members of the TW team might be able to point me in the right direction.

I do have one idea though...

I found the new Aries AdvantEdge 5.5" Bull Bar and it would look fantastic on my new truck. It comes in black or chrome-powder coat and has a more aggressive new design, with matching nerf bars, that would match well with the new grille. But there's one big problem - even though the bar itself is made to be universal, they don't make the mounting brackets for the Tacoma (but they do for the Tundra).

I've mocked it up and here's how it might look:

I've been pursuing the Aries Team on Facebook and Twitter. I even have their engineering team's phone number. - I even sent them my mockup.. to no avail.

I'm wondering what you guys think of that bull bar, maybe you have a better suggestion, or perhaps how I might go about talking Aries into getting on board with a Tacoma set of brackets. - Help! & Thanks for any of your input.

Yes, they do, and they look great, but I want the matching set - otherwise it would look odd having the squared running boards with powder coat chrome and a true-chrome bull bar.

I understand the sentiment, and I used to agree, but I've had the bull bar on my last truck (2007 Tacoma) save me from two instances where the truck would have been damaged far more than it was. If I lived in a different area, I might not be as interested.

    BIG UPDATE:
I don't know if it's because I've been bugging them since I bought my 3rd Gen last Summer, putting them on blast here on TacomaWorld, or because of my Tweets every time I see them promote the AdvantEdge Bull Bar on another truck, but I just got a terrific public reply from the @AriesAutomotive team today - on Twitter!! Check it out!

Many thanks to @ariesautomotive !! I'll update this thread with Pics and perhaps an Unboxing & Install video when I get the new piece on.

    Cheers!

Neither the truck nor the bar are my style.

But if it makes you happy, rock on.

Ah Aries, I purchase the correct mat kit for my 07 and they send me a rear mat for an access cab, then take 3 weeks to even ship me out the correct one. Spotty customer service is their forte. Good luck with the bull bar bling.
