The actual process of buying my house wasn't hard. Finding one I wanted to buy was though.

I've been trying to convince my wife to move out to Alvin or in the country. She will not budge. She wants a neighborhood and she wants my travel time to work to be under 20 minutes.

 

Going after this one is a losing situation. You will more than likely be moving employers and locations several times over your career.

 

Not for the next 5-7 years. I'm about to start my MBA and my employer will be reimbursing it. 4 years to complete and 2 years of promise to stay for reimbursement.
Trust me. I don't mind driving further or longer for work. It's the wifey that wants a short commute for me.

 

Well you been to the house, it's in a neighborhood, walking distance to a great park and all the schools. I walked to and from school form like 1st grade to 9th grade

Beltway eight in Bellaire.

 

Seems like you'd be best off in the suburbs just outside the beltway then

 

288 to the beltway would get you most of the way there it looks like if you chose Alvin or something this far south.
