I'm keeping it CA smog legal and was hesitant about doing a fuel cell with how these smog rules coul play out in the next few years. If they crack down it wouldn't even pass the visual. Plus the money involved in doing links, another set of coilovers, fuel cell and all the work that goes into that. It is very possible down the road. My last truck was very capable and pretty dam fast once I got the valving set. I want more power first! Maybe way way down the road do a LS swap and links/cell at same time :notsure:

I don't think I will get Camburgs front, its a little bit too much $$$$. I have been torn between MCM and ESB, and now DTF. All these damn acronyms lol

I always see people talking about how pricey links are but I've never actually seen any figures. Is it that much more expensive than a solid leaf setup? I always assumed it was a matter of being bolt on vs mostly custom.

I was dream crafting my truck the other day and was comparing costs of giant motor sports 64" sua kit vs their weld it yourself link kit and it looks like they are around the same cost just for parts sans the welding. I'm sure I'm missing something, I'm pretty new to LT and don't know much at all about links.

LS, linked, double cab is like the holy grail IMO not to mention that sexy ass black exterior. You're definitely on the right track  but I would have to be 4x4!

Right acronyms gotta be on point! Yeah burg you do pay for their name. All are soli kits, I wanted to be able to run a 3.0 bypass down the road as well. I considered the burg kit till me and Anthony started talking. I'd rather support a friend and up and coming shop that has the skill and knowledge to build a kit that's above most others! He is setting the new bar for these long travel kits!

I by no means am an expect on either lol. As far as the parts cost it probably isn't to much more for a link setup; links, coilover (bypass optional but I would of course) an bumps vs leaf springs, bypasses an shackles... It comes down to fab cost for setup and link would cause me to need a cell and all that mess etc etc. if I was in a free state I woul have gone that route probably or at least put a cell in lol. Leafs vs links is a topic discussed a lot now. Seems the evolution is heading towards most guys wanting links now with 3.0 all corners and 37" tires... Soon the norm will be center mounted w/links 4.5" king kongs with a blown LS!

My last build was a LT 4x and fun as hell just needed/wanted more ground clearance and front travel #s lol

Links will run atleast twice as much if you don't cut any corners. I'm into mine for 7-8k so far and all mounts and welding is being done by me so that's free. You gotta factor in running a 3.0 bypass, separate coilovers, sway bar (that's about a grand alone), redoing all your break lines, and if you go fuel cell(which I'm not) the. You've got the fuel cell, plumbing, and pump (which is probably another $1000). It adds up quick and if you want it to be a solid setup it keeps adding up.

^^^ That and I went too fast with leaf pack put links on it and I'm gonna need a LS swap right away, and a race suit, helmet and fire suppression system since I will be driving it like the Ironman himself

For now I'm keeping the 6 hoe-comps I already have and I scored 4 new 2 95% general AT2 from @nfs257 thanks again bud

I want new wheels but the ones I have have been through a lot and balanced with little weight. Plus it's money I can spend to go faster. This all was supposed o be a cab swap and cage and it turned into a full on til to tail new build. Wifey thinks I fucking crazy lol!
