well i FINALLY installed my lift this past weekend :D so lets go hit a trail! prerunner friendly of course

im in corvallis and dont know anywhere to go but if someone knows a nice place, or wants to get started on organizing this lets do it. id love to take my truck out somewhere besides the fred myers parking lot

im assuming everyones weekends are pretty much free since ive got school, and most people work weekdays.

write down where a good place to go is, and what day would work for you and maybe we can get this thing going.

well, im only like 4 hrs from corvallis, but I think winter in Oregon is going to mean muddy or snowy trails.... neither are very prerunner friendly... Maybe hit the dunes/beach in florence? Just remember you'll need to air your tires down and only stop when pointing downhill so you can get going again.

All the cool stuff I knew in Corvallis is behind gates now.

    A little over 2 hours

Doesn't sand destroy vehicles? it looks fun but man I'm not looking to rust out.

For other options, I could try taking a look around Goat Mountain again... that's in Estacada, about 1.5 hours from Corvallis. Let me know and I'll do a scouting run.

Barlow Road would be a good bet, but it's in Government Camp, almost 3 hours.

Meh, its not too bad. Just dont drive in the wet sand on the beach where its saturated with salt water and then give it a rinse when you get home. If you stick to the dunes, then you're golden and I wouldnt even worry about it.

yeah government camp is right at mt. hood isnt it? and i know estacada is on the way there. right around portland. id be down for anywhere that i wont be constantly getting stuck. from hawaii, so they only off roading ive ever done is in the sand, so WHEN i get stuck it will be due to driver error haha

Well, to give you a better idea

I'll try to see what I can scout out on Sunday then - at least at goat.

Moving south, there's shotgun creek, but I have never been there.

im out in Junction city, go to school at LBCC and OSU. Shotgun creek is fomr more quads and DB. There are some trails for trucks but not many. But you can always find something to ride on their. Also outside Junction city there are some but not really pre runner friendly. If ya want to do a coast run to florence id glady go with ya. Pretty fun for a day to cruise around. Plus the coast aint more the 60 miles TOPS from ya

HAHA you have never been i take it. WOW lol Biggest ocean side dunes in the world that you can access in a rig. You drive on the beach, up dunes through the ocean if ya wanted haha. Basically you cruise all around but are on sand. If its going to be nice next weekend man, id show ya around, especially if we got a few others to go.

they have concrete loading/unloading ramps at the staging areas... or you could just back your truck up to a dune to load it when you're done.
