i have a surging idle when i press in the brake..ive read a couple post where it talks about the idle screw, well i have that screwed all the way in already. Replaced vacuum lines, iac, pcv, and the vsv. How else can i lower the idle. Timing and TPS are also set to spec from haynes manual

Surging idle as in you press the brake and the idle surges up, then drops down and repeats?

I'm a little rusty but I had the same problem on my 22re. The 22re has a fuel saving technology to cut the throttle when pressing the brake. If your idle is too low it will cause the idle to dip when pressing the brake then bounce up so it doesn't die. It may seem odd, but try turning your idle up so when you hit the brakes you don't dip the idle down low enough to cause the surge.
