I like working with it over other products. And it looks so much better imho than plywood and house wrap

As stated in the original post I've already done that.

I'm hoping to have a game plan for when it does dry out. Thankfully it dries out fairly early so it doesn't get any bugs. But definitely the plan is to figure out what I can do then when it dries out be ready to do the work.

Your best bet is going to be to call the local conservation commission/department and get them to come look at it. It is not supposed to be doing that so there is a blockage somewhere along the drainage path. They can assess the situation and give you guidance in how to remedy (or make sure the one who does have the blockage removes it so it continues to be a free flowing channel).

I am in Massachusetts and things will run a little differently here, but you certainly shouldn't be messing with drainage ditches or potential wetlands/standing water without notice from the local con-com. They can make your life a living hell if you decide to do the work without consulting them.

I see what your saying. Fill some of the horizontal space with fiberglass then use the foam for the smaller, remainder air space. While compressed fiberglass isn't a good insulator, the spray foam should make up for that.

Using the canned foam to fill all the space is not really an option, as one can only works to fill the space of about 8 to 10 inches tall. Roughly 8ft tall space x 2 = 16ft. Can fills about 10", so the math says that's way too much $.

Building a deck. Can't figure out what I want to use for a decking material. Suggestions? I would love to use real wood if possible, but I dont want treated pine.

The only limitation for using it here would be whether it would work in our shearwall / shear diaphgram situations

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Teak, probably pay out the nose for it though.

Better than 2 weeks late as long as they are correct.

PS. I like those storage units on that Ranger.

I've been looking at ipe and teak. It will cost be about $6k for the decking boards alone.

Cedar would be nice, but is a little soft with my dogs running in it.

In looking over the ICC ESR I only see it listed as Exposure 1 (exterior exposure) I don't see any indication listed as Structural 1 which is what I'd expect to see for shear walls. Also the vapor permanence is questionable but I guess it's all in the location used.

I don't deal with shear walls here so that's totally foreign to me.

And for decking you could do ipe, or another tropical hardwood. I'm seeing the heat treated ash more too. And my parents had a cedar deck, dogs and kids and it lasted 20+ years on a wooded lot, with lots of shade.

Cypress will work...but once again the price would be insane. I did my whole deck in PT pine with the intention of re-doing the deck itself in something nicer down the line.

Nevada is seismically active so it's everywhere especially Las Vegas.

Thats what i've been looking at, so it looks like i just need to adjust the budget a little bit. Do it once and do it right.
