Just did 1200 mile road trip on mostly 40-70 mph roads, I could tell no difference in ride quality from stock tires other than MPG. In fact they seemed a little more planted if anything.

yeah thats less than 1/2" in width difference... Also should fit on stock suspension cuz im pretty sure it does on 2nd gens with correct wheels and the 3rd gens are 1/2" lifted stock conpared to 2nd gens... Might have to lose some mud flaps tho

Is there a big weight difference between the Cooper ST Maxx's 265/75/16 and 255/85/16?

When you guys switched tires did you do anything with the TPMS sensors? Take them out...do nothing and leave them in?

So I'm running ST MAXX in 255/85/16 on OEM 3rd gen TRD OffRoad wheels. I am also running Spidertrax 1.25" wheel spacers.

I have an OME lift with 888 up front and HS 3 leaf AAL out back.

I have not taken it off road yet, but I think I might need some trimming and a CMC. With the wheel turned, I am about an inch or less away from the cab mount. Also, when I turn into a shopping center with a slight incline, I hear a loud thud. The only thing I can think of is that it is hitting the cab mount.
There is very slight rubbing of the wheel well while making a U turn, but there is no resistance. But when going over a small bump while turning, there is definitely some resistance, and I can't tell if it the cab mount because I don't see any signs of rubbing on it.
Any ideas what that may be? I can take pics of specific areas if needed.

I'm running 255/80/17 cooper st maxx. Essentially the same size tire with stock suspension.

I've alleviated my rubbing issues by changing my caster (+3 degrees overall). I then trimmed and removed the first fastener that connects the front bumper to the fender liner. It also helps to trim the inner corner of the fender flare inside the wheel well...back corner.

I'm running 17" SCS wheels with 4.5 bs fyi.

Doubt the thud you're hearing is related to tire rubbbing. Tire rub sounds like rub, as unscientific as that sounds. Ha ha. Plus, a rubbing tire is going to leave witness marks on whatever it's hitting.

throw some baby powder on the cabmount and go drive around to replicate the rub and go from there.

Wobby on the highway? Are you running lug-centric or hub-centric wheels with them?

The thud is probably your OME 888s.

Can you elaborate? Is this from the extension of the shocks?

EDIT: I also have LR UCAs

I can't remember exactly what it is with OME shocks, but I've seen multiple threads here where the thud noise is very common with them when going over bumps or potholes, etc.
