Where's your build thread? that sounds sick. Yeah I figured there was a ton of nickle and dime stuff all over the place. The giant link kit doesn't come with heims which I'm guessing you need 8 total at like $80 a pop? The outboard and upside down shackle sua setup is pretty slick and a huge step up from the normal style IMO and with numbers like 19 on the conservative end you're more than out pacing your front end so there's really no need for links but itll always be a dream.

Thanks for all the info guys I have a ton to learn but this is the next thing I want to delve into project wise.

Honestly so far my only desire for links is cuz I'm scared to have a main leaf break at speed lol. But anything can let go at anytime. @Clay_916

I don't have one. But yeah every time you turn around it costs you a few hundo. Just the uniballs and wobble stoppers was $300. I spent $250 just on bolts for everything. You could definetly do it on a budget with some cheesy 2x3 rectangular tubing links and just run c/o's, no swaybar, $40/ piece or smaller hiems. It's doable, but to me personally if it's worth doing, it's worth doing well. I'm not really a "it's just a play truck" type of guy. But if you pinch your pennies you could definetly build a economy link setup for about the same price as a dialed leaf setup.

Another thing to take into account is, it's easier to set up a leaf setup, and a link setup with poor geometry can be downright dangerous.

Damn I need a new LT kit up front. My poor lower balljoints aren't too happy after adding the cage.

whole reason im going to a race kit is to ditch the balljoints and crap, and i see horizontal uppers and lowers on the DTF kit and thats exactly what i want. he makes dreams come true lol

I'll be adding a few things in that classifieds lol, I have a complete Tundra axle, Ford 9" 3rd member, axles and brakes, my frame, wheel spacers, and I am sure more by the time I'm done. My bed had to get pretty bent and cut to remove it so that is junk

Been thinking about doing the 5lug +1 kit that ESB made just recently. I already have yota spindles in the garage. Just too lazy to design and make my own kit.

The bolt on kit will be about $4k with hubs and brakes

Links are far more expensive. This truck is coming back in for links and its 12k+ for the conversion. that's with leaving the bedcage

I'll be taking pre-orders for a discounted price soon.

    Ball joints are no bueno!

I've been running my same set of timken unit bearings for 3 years with zero issue on 37s.
