I think that not having a lens will affect the sell. But we will see. He said a used body sells on Amazon for $420...

Anyway, back to Big Bend talk....

It looks like we will have plenty of time to stop for photos and such, so a couple places i would like to stop at would be...

    • Mariscal Mine Historic District [IMG]
    • Obviously pics of us on black gap road...[IMG]
    • and i would like to get to the south rim, may have to do that early Thursday....[IMG]
    • and maybe the hot springs if we have time...[IMG]

That works. I know I have been talking about it! I just did not want to do it until we were going to go in June, so was holding off. But now that the Big Bend Trip and then driving to Austin... kinda want to have some comfort on these trips.

We are, i just need to update the list so that i can see who is bringing what.

With this amount of people going it maybe best to bring a couple cooking stoves, and tables so we can spend less time cooking so much.

We also have to figure out meals for everyone. I think we should have enough people that we can all pick 2 meals to cook and we should be good. Or we can just cook breakfast and dinner and everyone is on their own for lunch...??? its up for discussion.

Go by some Plexiglas if you want to cut one yourself. You could then use small brackets to mount it to your rack or something.

I just bought my RTT... i got a smittybilt for $799 from 4 wheel parts. I will pick it up tomorrow!

Now i just need my bed rack from danger close!

And i just canceled my order for sliders from relentless. They are working on a large batch of sliders now, however my sliders will not be made until the end of the next batch! So i will just have danger close make me some in the same design as relentless.

    Good plan on that!

Hoping to order the sound deadening stuff tomorrow, waiting to hear back from someone that used it to see exactly how much he used. I keep getting different answers from calculations.

Ive spent 15 nights in mine so far, 3 of them in a nasty storm. No issues at all - only thing in recommend is an anti condensation mat. I got mine from tepui. Zippers are solid so far and no tears or anything.

    OP needs to be updated.

But I can cook dinner one night... not sure what I would cook, but it would be pretty good regardless.

    Also... on the list...

I will have the ARB compressor with me, waterport for washing dishes and such, and a 5 gallon water jug to replenish the Waterport.

As far as me bringing the luminoodle we can use it, but would have to more than likely string it between trucks somehow, which is easy as I am going to make a paracord line for it to hang from.

Not 100% on if we would have time to do any MTN bike trails, but if we do, need to make sure everyone has what they need for them.

Hopefully will have my HAM license by then, so we will have that as a backup comm source just in case and I will be sure to check the freq of stuff around there.

I have been thinking about getting my ham license. Just for fun I suppose, but it seems neat.

Also regarding the bike. I'm all for bringing mine. It would suck to bring it and have to lug it around if we never used it though. If a couple of people are in then lets bring'em. My rack hangs off the back so that would def effect departure angles. But I'm guessing we wouldn't need to worry about that too much.

I'm no chef, but I can scramble some eggs and grill some hamburgers. Thats the extent of my cooking ability.
