Than just cut the old one out and remove it and than you might have to make the hole for it alittle bigger and than this one just drops right in and it will work fine.

 

you think that would span far enough leds have a bad habbit of being directional

 

I brought in my own Power line in for the Glove box & center consul, The part # that I used was dj6359 from Napa, its about 8.00 but you have to pay shipping..1/2 hole on the left side & its done. Very Easy mod.

bob what leds did you use for the cup holders? cuz if ima order the ones for my shifter light ima go all out and do the glove box the and my cup holders

 

that 4 chip LED has a pretty wide throw to it. Its not as directional as you think.

 

will thos work for the cup holders?

 

they might be alittle big for the cup holders but the flat ones that i used for mine will work great for the cut holders.

i havent used them for the cup holders i used them in the center console. But you can probably put them on the side they are so small.

I'm pretty sure you can. I think I have seen people on here do it the same way as the 2nds. Guess I need to figure that out lol

 

After more extensive research on here, it looks like I am stuck - 1 - there isn't as much chrome to paint black so it doesn't look as nice and 2- evidently the plastic for the lenses is VERY fragile when being removed and I read quite a bit on various forums where people cracked their lenses or casings. Guess I will have to save up the $100+ for actual black housings I guess. Damn you Gen 2ers''''''

 

The Leds I used were from Radio shack Orange, just drill a small hole & get power from the auto shifter. So when you turn the parking lights on They come on. I also did the box in ft of the cup holders as well as the cup holders in the back of the center consul. Maker sure when you do your holes in the back of the center consul , that yo do them at an angle......To put the led in the ft box I had to use the cheap sodering iron I got from Walmart & burned a hole in & I had to clean up the rip from the back side to get to into the middle...

 

I have seen some Tacomas with the bottom of the spoiler painted Black in the center but I remember Ryan saying some thing about it being vinyl??? Do you guys knows who sells that????

Have you guys seen A Tacoma with the lower spoiler painted BLACK in the middle??? Or I think Ryan said it was vinyl if so were do I get it from????

 

Try PMing sockmonkey - he used to have a vinyl cutout that went on the lower valance of the bumper - I cant find pics of it at the moment
