Well, the men don't check that much if I remember correctly. Not sure why checks aren't allowed. That's pretty weak.

haha. It's been 4 years since the last games so I don't really remember how much or how hard the men check.

short track is hands down the best event. Only event in the winter olympics that you have to race and beat your opponent start to finish. Plus I always enjoy some stupid Korean killing his and another Korean's skaters chance at a medal.

The Euro's do not check as much in hockey, they are more about finesse. Look for the American and Canadian teams to put on the bigger hits.

What pisses me off about the coverage of the olympics is it's more highlights.. Last night I was looking forward to mens hockey... while waiting they had womens curling, then at last hockey BUT NOT the U.S., they showed Canada against Norway, and in the middle of the game showed highlights of the 3 goals scored during that game, thats it... I wanted to watch snowcross the day as well but they only showed figure skating for 5 hours. Both channels that I get didn't show any other coverage.

do you enjoy watching paint dry too? sorry. hockey is the only sport that i have ever been able to watch. :rolleyes:hmmm...maybe if the curling people beat the crap out of one another with their little broom sticks I could tolerate it.

hahaha nice one... that would be interesting though, as the sweepers come down the other team is allowed to check them! could be interesting. curling is more smarts and technique than power and force. still good to watch if you get in to it. its like baseball for me, i cant stand to watch regular games but when it is the end of the year i can watch one. as for curling i fastforward the DVR to the last 2 stones of each "End". not utill the medals race do i watch a whole game.

I can't blame him, coverage has been terrible. I know it would be financially irresponsible for them to play all events live, but its annoying knowing who wins gold and then being told to watch the events. I hear ESPN is making a push for the Olympic coverage...can't say that would be a bad thing. They would be at least prone to play live events regardless of time (Australian Open for instance) and then could rerun the highlights in prime time...plus they have far more channels to work with then NBC does.
