    After so many years in construction I've acquired many power tools. Multiple circular saws, mitre saw, multiple drills & impact guns (cordless & electric), multiple reciprocating saws(cordless & electric), a couple sanders, a compressor & air tools. Haha ;) :D

    I'm no longer in the field, I'm the Maintenance guy for a 107 yr old cigar factory. I miss being outdoors at times but don't miss that Florida heat or having to go home due to rain. Haha

    It took a little while to put together & get it set as far as being square & cutting to the correct size but so far I really like it. It's got some good weight to it so it stays put.
    We had pos Ryobi that was there when I started, you couldn't even cut anything without it moving around. Luckily it died yesterday, blue flames shooting out the side & jumping around. Haha

    Well, just so you know. They don't make that saw anymore. Emerson was the manufacturer and Ridgid is completely out of the shop tool business now. Take good care of it cause I don't know if any new parts available for them.

    I also bought the 14" Ridgid bandsaw. Broke while I was assembling it. The top wheel fell off the saw when I tried to tighten the tension on the blade. Guess what? No parts available and the saw sat in the box for 4 years before I opened it to put it together. I have a pretty, new, orange $400 paperweight. I never even got to plug it in. :(

    My Delta 16" bandsaw from 1987 is still going strong though. Can't kill it. Next one will be a Rikon.

    Have you tried sites like ereplacementparts.com?
    They had parts for my old 10" Ridgid mitre saw & my Dewalt stuff. Hell a lot of stuff I've needed parts for actually, even an old Echo blower I had.

    Yup. All discontinued. Looked all over the net for it. They say you can adapt a Delta one off their 14" saw to work but it's made of the same cheap ass pot metal now too. Meh. Chocking it up as a lesson learned that I should have bought the more expensive one from the start.
