I joined both. Runners was disappointing, I was expecting a TW type forum.

Crickets.

 

Both the 4th and 5th gen section is cancer.

 

I've only gone into 5th gen for sale thread to try and sell my wheels.

Haven't had/made time to browse much there. I've noticed a lot of spacer lifts and 20" wheels, so it just feels different than what I'm used to.

Then there is the same stuff, like what 5100s are and plasti dip, what tires can I fit..

Seems like it has to be a good resource for the volume of shit posted there, just haven't dug much. Wish there was a 2013 specific area, 5th gen section seems like almost all 14-16s.

 

THE very last post I ever read in the 5th gen section some years ago was something along the lines of "if the stock brakes are enough to lock up your tires, why do you need more? The Toyota engineers know better than you."

Jumped out of there and never looked back.

 

Same, but trying to find general info on rear coils and shocks was a chore.

Forum layout blows also. Needs more TW.

The whole reason this 4Runner section is active is because .org sucked ass. So people hopped over here during the frequent downtimes that site kept having.

But hey, run Icons over on that site and you're a god. Run Icons over here and you're a jackass that makes bad decisions.

There's a certain "engineer" over there that liked to spew endless crap. The guys there eat it all up though.

Is that the 1engineer dude? His name is everywhere. It's like reading a truck stop bathroom stall.

I don't know him, but he is annoying.

 

Lift and tires for now, and a rack. Then rack accessories.

Not needing armor for the foreseeable future but may do sliders or secondhand skids.

Anybody know if second gen Tacoma skids will work or are they totally different?

got nothing against icons

i love my ADS on the tacoma.

but no way i'm taking icons off the runner. would be a very expensive transition...although ads is sexy.
