    I had the pleasure of cutting over an ESS and getting rid of the last step switch in Ct.
    But... nothing like walking into a step switch CO. That noise etches deep into the memory banks.

    We still had a party line in the early 70s up in Maine course there were only 6 people on the road and back then the phones were not used much at all really lol But yeah when my Step Father took me into that switch bldg it was kind of like the noise you hear in old Frankenstein movies tesla coils and such lol scary as hell when your young :}
