If you like that try Drake's Brewing "Jolly Roger". So good. I have to buy it whenever I see it. Same with Heretic Shallow Grave. Amazing.

On a side note I went to Fogbelt Brewery this weekend in Santa Rosa. Really good beer and food, particularly when Russian River has a line out the door (though I did get 6 bottles of Pliney...).

Also went back to Morgan Territory in Tracy Ca. Right off the 205, killer beer.

End of my grain IPA recipe. Lots of Centennial:D

I like it. Still green but I expect it to mellow for the next week or so. Kegged it Wednesday. IMG_3631.jpg

Last full day in Barcelona. We fly out in the morning. After a nice walk around the city, we decided to stop in at George Payne's Irish Bar again for lunch. Like yesterday I started off with a Murphy's but this time followed it up with a Duvel Blond. I do love me a nice Belgian brew!

Entered a homebrew comp that Oak Park Brewing put on as a beer week event. Grand prize was a collab with the brewery to brew the winning recipe. 22 entries total, any style, my IPA took 2nd dammit. Oh well, it was a good time. They judged it on the spot so it was fun to see how grueling judging can be.

Just about to finish off a growler of North Coast Brewing's (Fort Bragg, CA) Pranqster. 7.6% ABV, 20 IBU, great after a day of paper pushing!

    None yet.
Frootwood only recently came out, so definitely not because it's old. It's just a different kind of flavor that for most people is going to be love or hate. It's got a tartness to it, but with the barrel aging, a strange sweetness as well (barrels were previously used for bourbon and maple syrup).
