Looking for feeback on cargo net

Does anybody have any real-world experience with this thing? I would be using it mainly for a few bags of groceries or wet clothes, or other loose items.

 

It's very functional. It's worth it when you're carrying a bunch of stuff in the bed mainly because its a MUCH cheaper alternative to the bed divider, but I'd say not the best for groceries as things can move from side to side still. Bottom line: I'd say it's worth it for the flexibility. Because it's cheap, you don't really need to worry if you don't use it.

 

Thanks. Do you use the mini tie downs or just the regular ones?

 

Regular. I wrap the bungee around the whole thing. Doesn't come out...ever...unless I pull it out. It really takes some effort to get it off.

 

A used spring loaded shower rod (thrift stores) across the bed makes an adjustable position divider.

Score some used plastic milk crates to drop your bags in, let the crates sit between the tailgate and shower rod.

Enjoy the $25 or so you saved while having more flexible options.

 

I had a buddy do the same thing but with bungee cords. Only trick is finding the milk crates. They're surprisingly scarce out where I live

 

Sounds like a great idea. The thing I like most about this net is that I can roll it up and put it in one of the bed storage compartments when not using it.

 

Buckets work too. Find those things all over the road where they have blown out of trucks. Too tall? Cut them down with a jig saw.

 

Thats true. It's where the one for my Highlander stayed a number of years, until I realized it would bring money on Craigslist, rather than collecting dust.

I've had several nets over the years, and Spidy Gear has been by far the best. I first bought one 25 years ago and it still is my go-to web, although I did recently buy a new one because of some damage due to operator error.

 

Love my cargo net, had it since 09, and will buy another when the time comes for another.

That's a pricey net. I use two Home Depot storage bins. They don't budge with my bed mat so a divider is not required. I use one for groceries, and if I fill it all the way I can just carry the whole dern thing into the house. The other has a gas can, jumper cables, hitch, tow strap, and other utility stuff. When I need to use the bed I can just leave the two bins at home and the full one stacks into the empty grocery one. I do have a toneau cover to keep them from walking off.

I like mine. It's also nice it moves up if you have to move any plywood. Slides right under the netting.

 

That is what I have in the bed of my truck, works great.

 

Anything that isn't a heavy payload or dirty belongs in the back seats of the cab. Everything else that is important goes in the bed.

 

I have this same one from Amazon. I keep it installed near the backend of my bed, about 2 feet from the tailgate, since I have a gatortrax retractable cover. Love this net. I put groceries in it, wine bottles, LP gas tank for a grill etc. keeps things from rolling around.

I got mine on Amazon. Just bought some kitchen hooks from Ikea and keep near the tailgate since I got a tonneau cover. Mainly use it for groceries and other stuff that I don't want rolling around to the front end of the bed.

 

I have the OEM one. I have used it with the large and the mini tie down hooks. Both work fine.

It is decent quality and you keep it inside when not in use it will last for years.

 

I bought an OEM one off Amazon. Works great. One of those must-have items in my opinion. Simple and practical.
