Thanks for the heads up. That stinks, I'm really needing a change of scenery but have to keep it somewhat local. I was thinking that taking a night dip in the hot spring would be just what the Dr. ordered. Well, on to plan b I guess...

Yea, it's a bummer. I'm scheming on going up to Fig Mtn next weekend again for hiking with the dogs and a quick overnight.

I have not yet been to those. Are you referring to the ones close to where the 101 North meets Hwy 1(to Lompoc)?

Those are pretty neat. Covered by palm trees and not a difficult uphill walk to get to. Easier to get to = more people. They're also not as hot as the others, but they're still a nice dip! They weren't as stinky as people have said they are when I visited in February.

I'd be down for an overnight at Davy Brown or something. What night were you thinking?

Hmm, that sounds enticing. I heard that people have their automobiles broken into frequently around that area. Does that sound accurate or was that person blowing hot air?

    Saturday to Sunday.
It happens. Just don't leave stuff visible in your car.

A lot of vehicles have been getting broken into all over the place. Brown rd where the trail starts to Pt.Sal, Nojoqui Falls, and at trail head parking on Fig Mtn rd have all been hit recently.

Checked out the road down to the hot springs this afternoon, part of the road between East Camino and the gate caved in about. Enough room to drive around it, but I figure there's plenty of work to be done past the gate.

This was on the road to the gate going down to the hot springs. Luckily there's enough room to drive around it. I wonder how the rest of the road looks!

    Dang, that stinks!
At least they found his truck. I hope his insurance will cover most of that. I also hope the authorities will be able to pull some prints and catch the thieving bastard(s)!
