Access Cab noise?

anyone getting a rattle from the rear access cab doors when going on dirt roads?? mainly the drivers side? any fixes?

 

Yes, don't know of a fix, been meaning to ask the dealer about it though.

 

when I had an Access Cab I had alot of wind noise. Nomore with the double cab

 

Mine was loose, dealer fixed it no questions asked. I presume it's just an adjustment on the rear door (mine was pass side). It was really bad off-road (of course to me off-road starts at 40mph on the dirt )

 

I can tell you what mine turned out to be. I have a 2010 Access cab and had a rattle that sounded like a pin ball rolling around on the metal floor pan behind the driver seat. Finally got underneath the truck and pounded with my fist and heard something metallic bouncing up and down. Removed the jump seats, popped the rivets on the storage bin and found an extra new unused 12 mm bolt just like what was used to secure the jump seats. Hope yours is not like mine was. Made the dealer order a new set of rivets and turned this info in on Toyota survey. hth.

 

When you say your's was loose...what was actually loose?

 

Make sure you don't have anything bumping or rolling around in the bins in the backseat.

I had a heavy draw bar with hitch ball back there - figured it was heavy enough to not rattle. I had to wrap a towel around it so it wouldn't rattle in the bumps.

 

I'll have to check my bins!
