Hey fellas. Those of you with higher miles on the odometer, did you bother replacing your shock hardware while you had the front end apart? I'm ready to install, but I'm debating while I have the front end and the coilover apart to replace the tophat assemblies or not. Do you suppose it is needed or do those items incur that much wear? Thanks

    Seems like a good idea.

I even used nylock nuts on my spindle hardware.

For some reason I just didn't like the way the nuts were fitting the bolts paired in the hardware kit.

With my uca it's right at 4° to keep it from rubbing. I have the uca's set to add 2° & told them to put it at 3° but when they did it rubbed really bad so instead of adjusting the uca's he adjusted the lca's to put it at 4° & no more rubbing. One of these days I may take a degree out of the top to put it at 3 but it drives great so why mess with it? Haha

Maxtrac includes hardware as well? I assumed they used existing hardware to bolt on. I got mine used so it wasn't included. I'm mainly concerned with my strut assembly hardware that connects to the coil bucket. My truck has 192,000 on it now but I'm not sure the age of the hardware or if it was original when the truck came to me. :sadviolin:

Guess I'll be sourcing out some hardware then. I'll probably just replace the strut assembly hardware anyways for peace of mind.

Check post 9586 for the parts list, no go on a turn-key package of hardware

So I've searched over and over and I've told myself I would never come in here but I have too... Where are the ones running DK's LT kit with Maxtracs? Just need to see running of brake lines, and kind of want to know if someone sells LT SS brake lines? I may not want the ones that come with DK's LT kit.

First of all you spend way too much time in this thread, get out there, roam free my friend! I had originally planned on just Maxtracs with some extended kings, but I accidently fell in the LT pit with included wallet destruction so I kind of veered away from ever migrating back to this plan. Front LT first, then decide on either LT weld in leaf kit or have my heart set on a 3link. Please refrain from converting me back :anonymous: Someone has got to have the maxtracs with DK's kit... Help me help you, help me :D

The DK kit is $2800 with included heimed UCA's, TC starts at $3200 w/o heims, seems cheaper and nicer to me. Never heard of problems with DK's kit either. Now DTF charges an arm and a leg for his kit, but I fully understand that, its 19" vs 14" travel is substantially different, plus you get a fabbed spindle too. I dont really need 19" up front, 14" is fine, all the good shit happens in the back. Hopefully I can get the kings I need for the kit with the GB happening, but that a whole different story.

Sounds like you've got a plan. I can't believe they don't make a spindle for that kit

I wish they did, though talking with Nick, they're bringing out there own Bypass mount kit, no word on a spindle. I'm just happy I dont have to run gusseted stock spindles, the boat anchors will be much better.
