lol This is my attitude towards my bike. When I do something and it works, I'm in the best mood ever. But when something doesn't work, I can't figure out what's wrong, or 1 fix causes 3 more problems, then I hate the world and everyone in it. My first car was a POS '82 diesel Mercedes (hence the first part of my username). I LOVED wrenching on that thing, mainly because anything I did to it was an improvement (which made me happy). If what I did didn't help.....well, it was a POS to begin with. Now that I have a fairly nice bike, I love keeping it in top-notch shape, and really learning how basic a gas engine really is. Of course when things don't work or I can't get the damn thing to run, then I get pissy and start throwing screwdrivers into the wall [not really, but I've come close a couple of times].

I haven't quite gotten to that point with the Taco yet. I've always had old beater vehicles all my life, so in my mind, I see my Tacoma as like a brand-new, top-of-the-line Escalade or something. I don't want to start wrenching on it and screw things up when it was just fine in the first place. I'll get there eventually, but for now, I'll stick with detailing. When the truck's dirty, it seriously bothers me because I can see it every day. If I can spend 12 hours on a Saturday detailing it inside and out, I'm happier than a fat kid at an all-you-can-eat buffet.

.....now, if I had a 1st Gen Baby Taco, that'd be a different story

Not only that, but then you know how to fix it instead of paying some mechanic that "fixed it" when he really didn't, or shafting you on a fix you could've done with YouTube and a $6 wrench.
