Want to grab a first aide kit.... Or just out one together? I am wondering if I could get the essentials cheaper than buying a kit?thinking just use an old tackle box?

Build your own. Usually ends up cheaper and you know what it's in it. Also won't have a bunch of shit in there you won't ever need/use that way.

Remember, splints can be made almost out of anything like shoe laces and sticks, shirts and boards...so you don't need to buy one in itself. Tourniquets are the same way too.

Tell me about it...My boss HAS to be related to my first wife. She had a problem with people who had smiles on their face. So does asshat.

This time last year I was wondering if I'd EVER get to go wheelin' again. By June I knew things would be OK. By fall, I was starting to get geared up for LBL. No one wants to go there more than me. I started prepping the truck around Christmas. Most of what I've done to the truck recently was targeting this event. I mentioned the need to have a week of vacation to my boss a few weeks ago. Mistake. He had enough time to screw up my plans.

    Yes.

    Yes.

Yes, just wasn't sure if you could hold everyone off until Saturday evening for duck fajitas.

    From behind?

Build your own. If you want to look at mine when I'm up there Saturday, just let me know. I have a bunch of crap that most people won't ever use, but I also teach wilderness first responder classes and graduate from nursing school in May.

    Precisely.

    Amazon.

Sam splints are cheap and way easier, plus you can make a C-collar out of them as well. You've obviously never tried actually occluding a vessel with an improvised tourniquet. They are also cheap and actually work. Just remember if you get a TQ, don't practice with it. Buy a separate one to practice with.

Loosen the leaves all the way up, and stick a #2 Phillips screwdriver through the hole and keep them aligned as you tighten. Drink a beer. Once all the way tight pull the screwdriver out and put the center pin in. Drink a beer. Torque it down, cut it off, and thank me. You did a good job, treat yourself to a beer after.

Any luck? I don't recall it really being that difficult. All the leafs should slide back and forth, and line them all up 1 by 1

All I really need to do before LBL is install a CB, repair/replace some lights, 12v power anytime mod, shim my front bumper for better clearance, pack zombie camp/dry food and prep boxes and find some damn place to fill my CO2 can. Still welcome to come play and stay if you want

I've never had to use a tourniquet in a truly emergent scenario. Hope to never have to. My point is that I can take out a shoe lace and an ink pen, pencil, or stick and make one in a pinch. Something is better than nothing.

I don't believe that. Weather forecasters are like politicians, they get paid to lie to your face.

I may be up for that. Depends on Katie if she wants to get out of the house. How long is the drive?
